Microsoft is due to unviel its new Xbox gaming console later this month and Bill Gates suggests it will outsell Sony Corp

The new version Xbox named Xenon is suggested to be more versatile and have a great range of features that will drag it to the forefront.

This Reuters explains…

The next generation of Microsoft Corps Xbox gaming console, due to be unveiled later this month, will give the worlds largest software maker a chance to overtake the leader in the gaming business, Sony Corp. Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates said on Monday.
Our goal in the last generation was to be in the game, Gates told reporters, We came out of this round a strong number two.
Gates, speaking at a meeting of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers, said that the newest version of the Xbox, code-named Xenon, would have an array of features that will make the device a more versatile tool for games, music, video and pictures in the living room.

AOL - eMail Blunder

AS we all know spam is somewhat of an issue these days but AOL unfortunately went a little far by tagging emergency email weather alerts as spam.

Clearly this is something that can be worked through but it indicates the difficulty that we as consumers have in getting our message out but it also places pressure on service providers as well…there is no easy answer.

This Associated Press report explains,

Emergency managers in Indian River County , hard-hit by hurricanes last year, thought the best way to get out weather alerts was by e-mail - until they learned that AOL was tagging the messages as spam.
Because we send out mail in large numbers, it becomes a pattern for spam senders, said Basil Dancy, a county computer software engineer.
The problem started last year with frequent alerts during an unusually busy hurricane season when four major storms hit Florida, including two - Frances and Jeanne - that swept over Indian River County with winds above 100 mph.
