MSN Admits Hackers were Successful
Hackers continue to be active in trying to disrupt services… Microsoft acknowledges hackers got into its South Korean web portal this week.
The company confirmed earlier reports that its portal, operated by an outside company, was the target of Internet hackers. Microsoft declined to comment on reports that the effort was an attempt to steal passwords.
Microsoft learned of a criminal attempt to compromise an MSN Korea property hosted by a third party, MSN director Adam Sohn said in a statement.
Investigation continues to ensure necessary action is taken to protect customers a spokesman said.
