Google Unveils Reseller Program In China
Google Inc. on Tuesday introduced a search-advertising reseller program in China, which has become the focus of the major U.S. portals looking to tap into the countrys growing online population.
The Mountain View, Calif., search engine said marketing companies China Enterprise, China Source and Hotsales are among the partners in its Authorized Resellers program. The three companies will provide sales and support for Google AdWords advertisements in China.Search is among the hottest Internet markets today, attracting a growing amount of online advertising dollars and generating intense investor interest. For example, Baidu.com, a Chinese search engine widely viewed as Googles equivalent in that country, more than quadrupled its stock price in its debut on the Nasdaq Stock Market last Friday.
While seen as a competitor, Baidu.com is a far smaller company than its multi-billion-dollar rivals Google, Yahoo Inc. and Microsoft Corps MSN.
Google has finally broken into the largest untapped market in the world with its Adwords product.
